Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 14 September 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern any repair, upgrade, or IT support service provided by MENDEVO ("we", "us", "our") to a customer ("you"). By booking a service with us — via WhatsApp, phone, email, or this website — you agree to these terms.
2. Quotes and diagnostics
Where a fault isn't obvious, we may need to diagnose your device before providing an accurate quote. [confirm] A diagnostic fee may apply, which will be communicated to you upfront and is separate from any repair cost. Quotes are estimates based on the information available at the time and may change if further issues are discovered once work begins — we will contact you before proceeding with any additional cost.
3. Approval and payment
No repair or chargeable work will begin without your approval of the quote. Payment is due [confirm — e.g. "on collection of your device"]. We accept [confirm accepted payment methods, e.g. EFT, cash, card].
4. Warranty on repairs
We stand behind our workmanship. Repairs carried out by MENDEVO are covered by a [confirm — e.g. "90-day"] warranty on the specific repair performed, covering defects in that work. This warranty does not cover:
- Unrelated faults that develop after the repair
- Physical, liquid, or accidental damage occurring after the device is returned to you
- Pre-existing conditions not part of the original repair
- Third-party parts warranties, which are passed on to you as provided by the manufacturer/supplier
5. Your data and devices
We recommend backing up your important data before handing over any device for repair. While we take reasonable care, MENDEVO is not liable for data loss that occurs during diagnosis or repair unless caused by our negligence. Any personal information we access in the course of a repair is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
6. Collection of devices
Please collect your device within [confirm — e.g. "30 days"] of being notified that it's ready. Devices left uncollected beyond this period may be subject to a storage arrangement communicated to you in advance.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by South African law, MENDEVO's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the service fee paid for that specific job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of business or loss of data) except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, where it applies to our services.
8. Cancellations
You may cancel a requested service before work begins at no charge. If diagnostic work has already started, the diagnostic fee (if applicable) may still apply.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith discussion between the parties before resort to formal proceedings.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you book a service is the version that applies to that service.
